(Collectables - COLCD0554) Truly unique collaboration betwixt the great bluesman and Roky Erickson's West Coast mob, showing how blues was coping with the then 'new music' (ie psychedelia) in the same way as Muddy Waters' 'Electric Mud' but, as the title suggests, more experimental and free-flowing. The power of true blues songwriting collides with loose spacey jams: yet at no point did the Elevators attempt to mould Hopkins' sound to suit them: rather, he bends the band to his requirements and makes them play in a way they never did again. This reissue has been expanded to 50 minutes by the addition of two unreleased tracks from the original session: 'Conversation With Mr Hopkins' and 'Black Ghost'.Due In: 27/06/2005
