Acid Mothers Temple - Wild Girls A Go-Go. Dble LP. (Eclipse Records - ECLIPSE 0)

At long last a well-deserved and well overdue vinyl re-issue of one of the greatest albums created by the psychedelic freaks of Japan's AMT. Originally released on CD in ridiculously low numbers we finally have a deluxe double 180g vinyl version housed in a heavy duty, risque (but of course), gatefold sleeve. Those lucky enough to grap a copy back in the day will need no convincing to snap this up, for those in the dark read on.. Conceived as the soundtrack to a Russian psychedelic exploitation film, this album marks the moment when the AMT crew started to really push outwards into unmapped regions of space. The sound is not as frequently wild or heavy as it has been on some of their other lp's but any suggestion of disappointment will be crushed when you hear the mesmerising mixture of cyclical riffing and a persistant high pitch drone that introduces the listener to the album. Out of an enormous catalogue this album really does command attention for all fans of progressive pyschedelic music. Behold the true beauty of Acid Mothers Temple!! But be quick this is a one time pressing of 1000 copies only, and if that isn't enough for you its got a previously unreleased track added as well! Sweet Mary!

Acid Mothers Temple - Starless & Bible Black Sabbath. CD. (Alien 8 - ALIENCD 62)

We thinks the title gives away the influences involved here somewhat, but then again one never quite knows with this Japanese psychedelic ensemble. This release sees the band paying homage to Black Sabbath. It isn't straight up Sabbath worship in the sense of covers, but rather the band pays respect to the sound of Sabbath & like minded bands such as Melvins or Zeni Geva.

Acid Mothers Temple - Penultimate Galactic Bordello. 4-CD Set.

Possibly the most luxurious work yet from them. This release is an incredible clam box 4 CD set, with 4 tracks spanning the 4 discs and clocking in at over 4 hours of LSD fried cosmic insanity. The music is a varied selection of AMT's many different styles - long "freak-out" jams/acid dazed tunes/free improvised craziness - it's all here. Acid Mothers Temple - Does The Cosmic Shepherd Dream Of Electric Tapirs. CD.

Their music can be described as acid-rock, experimental, psychedelic or a whole host of genres dependent on the listeners mood. Acid Mothers Temple - Electric Heavyland. CD. (Alien 8 - ALIENCD34)

This particular studio release can be described as one of the band's heaviest efforts yet, recorded by the compact five-person lineup of 2002. Kawabata Makoto has led this collective through a release that rocks from start to finish and is most comparable to the incredible debut, 'Mellow Out' by Mainliner. This monstrous album sounds like a scared person wandering through a collapsing factory. All 3 tracks have nice slow-builds which make the inevitable explosive chaos all that much more of a trip, and what a trip this is.Great card gatefold sleeve.

Acid Mothers Temple - Myth Of The Love Electrique. CD. (Repose - REPOSEC 12)

2006 release that explores the many shades of the AMT sound, managing to be both wild and beautiful at the same time. From the 'in the red' guitar driven album opener 'The Man From Giacobinid Meteor Comet', to some quieter acoustic passages during 'Five Dimensional Nightmare', to the total meltdown felt halfway through the 20 minute 'Love Electrique'. 'Myth Of The Love Electrique' fully explores the whole AMT sound for the first time in years. Live favourite 'Pink Lady Lemonade (May I Drink You Once Again?)', a staple of any AMT live show, is included here on an AMT album for the first time in its normal length, complete with added space whispers from new AMT girl Kitagawa Hao, who fills the now departed Cotton Casino's tiny shoes elegantly.

Brand new album for 2007 from the Temple and The Melting Pariso UFO, featuring their recent addition Kitagawa Hao on vocals.
