Almendra - Intricado Alquimia. LP. Subtitled South American Psychedelic Guitar Masterworks: Volume One, this more than lives up to its name. This band were from Argentina and featured twin lead guitarists in a late '60s West Coast meets Beatles style. This compilation limited to 300 copies, of their first two albums and comes highly recommended for lovers of that freaky acid guitar sound....

Almendra - (1st Album) Cronologia 1. CD. (RCA - ECD 103-6) Often regarded as one of the best albums to ever emanate from South America, this 1969 debut from the Argentine band is a tour-de-force of complex melodic psych/rock music. With plenty of acidic fuzz guitar great vocals and orchestral arrangements, the album has the overall feel of "Forever Changes" era Love. This CD includes all of the early singles.

Almendra - Almendra. Dble CD. (RCA - 74321 40730-2) We finally managed to get this back in stock. Originally a double vinyl release from 1970 this takes the sound of the legendary Argentinian band a step further. The 14 minute "Agnus Dei" features guitarist Spinetta's stunning psychedelic fuzz guitar work outs whilst the music is structured, complex and more instrumental than the band's debut. Anyone interested in South American psychedelic rock should start here! This double CD version includes extra material too!
