At the end of the summer of 1979 renowned film maker Peter Clifton travelled to NY to film the climatic concert of America's world tour. In front of a packed out open air amphitheatre the band's founders Dewey Bunnell & Gerry Beckley, with an all star line up of musicians, performed their hits in an electrifying concert.Peter returned with the band to Hollywood where he kept shooting Gerry & Dewey as they overdubbed the concert recordings at Capitol recording studios. To complete the 1 hour film Peter took the band to the Palm Springs desert to recreate the original inspiration behind 'Horse With No Name'. The live concert special is the only time America have been shot on film & remains a testament to one of the great folk rock bands of the '70s.
