Animals - Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted. CD. (Repertoire Records - REP4845)

Although the original Animals had broken up by the end of the 60's, the R&B stars from Newcastle yearned to recreate the musical magic that had bought them together in the first palce. They did it on this heartwarming reunion album that still has that Animal magic with the late 70's production values.

Animals - Before We Were So Rudely Interrupted. CD. (Repertoire Records - REP 4845)

1977 reform album by the original Animals (Eric Burdon, Alan Price, Hilton Valentine, Chas Chandler and John Steel) made eleven years after recording their last album. It's something of a lost classic and was ignored at the time more due the fact that it was competing with the blossoming punk and disco scenes, rather than because of the music. Ten tracks including Dylan's "Baby Blue", "Many Rivers To Cross" and the pounding finale "The Fool".

Animals - Let It Rock. CD. (Snapper / Charly - SNAP135CD)

Live album from '63, showcasing them at their rawest, R&B best. Eightenn tracks, featuring the Animals in support of Sonny Boy Williamson and on their own. This cracking set was recorded by Giorgio Gomelsky (mentor to the Yardbirds and The Rolling Stones) a month before they were first signed to EMI. This is when they were largely a covers band (a damn fine one mind you) and at their most exciting live. One for all Animals collectors, a real rarity.
