Arik Einstein (and The Churchills) - Shablool. CD. (Phonkol - CDP 004)

1969 album by Israel's number one troubadour who joined forces with the Churchills and songwriter Shalom Hanoch to make a trilogy of albums. This is the second of the three a blissful mix of European influenced rock, pop and psychedelia. Superb acid guitar solo's with a more progressive edge to this the debut album. All three of the albums were made in close succession and it's hard to pick the best, so buy them all.

Arik Einstein (and The Churchills) - Plasteline. CD. (Phonkol - CDP 014)

Final instalment of the trilogy of albums made by Israel's number one troubadour and the Churchills in the late 60's. Very similar to the previous two releases with a mix of European influenced rock, pop, folk rock and psychedelia. There are moments of orchestration, harpsichord bliss, acid guitar freakouts and the album has an overall late '60's pop psych vibe. All three of the albums were made in close succession and it's hard to pick the best, so buy them all.
