Association - Stop Your Motor. CD. (Collectors Choice - CCM03852)

This was to be the bands last album for Warner Brothers from 1971 and was really Jimmy Webb's homage to fellow songwriter PF Sloan, plus some more tasty tunes in the country rock vein first explored on the self titled album from 1969. Great US '60's harmony psych pop/rock.

Association - Just The Right Sound - The Anthology (UK Edition). Dble CD. (Rhino - 81227 83032)

Double CD from this much neglected US sunshine pop, harmony group. The band were packed with light multi layered harmonies and clever arrangements and made some excellent psych pop recordings in the mid to late '60's, some of which were produced by Curt Boettcher (Millenium/Saggitarius). Plus the acid pop gems ("Time For Livin' " "Like Always" "Requiem For the Masses"). Very cool.

Association - Renaissance. CD. (Collectors Choice - CCM03802)

Jim Yester's brother took over the production duties from Curt Boettcher for this 1966 release, and the result was one of the groups most varied albums and the track (and single choice) "Pandora's Heebie Jeebies", was the strangest, most psychedelic song on the album. The remainder of the album veered from folk-rock pop harmony sounds to bubblegum pop without a hitch. Great US '60's psych folk rock.

Association - Insight Out. CD. (Collectors Choice - CCM03812)

1967 release from the US folk rock/psych band that contained the hits "Windy" & "Never My Love". It was an album that contained some of their best work and saw the band move towards a more progressive psych sound on the ambitious, anti war song "Requeim for the Masses". Great guitar work and beuatiful harmonies combine on a superb album.

Association - Birthday. CD. (Collectors Choice - CCM03822)

1968 album that flirted with hip pop psychedelia whilst keeping the trademark cathedral-like harmonies of previous albums. In places their is a strong similarity to HP Lovecraft's first album and the choice of session musicians from "Forever Changes" session recordings make this a must for any 60's collector. Great LA psych pop.

Association - And Along Comes Association. CD. (CCM - CCM06472)

One of the great pop-rock albums of the ’60s, 'And ,Along Comes the Association' not only notched two Top 10 hits in 'Along Comes Mary' and 'Cherish', but also introduced the group’s creamy harmony sound to the world. Curt Boettcher’s production still defines 'sunshine pop' to this day, and the whole record just works!also includes 'Enter the Young; Your Own Love; Don’t Blame It on Me; Blistered; I’ll Be Your Man; Standing Still; Message of Our Love; Round Again; Remember', and 'Changes'. A classic.

Association - Goodbye,Columbus. CD. (CCM - CCM06482)

This Association album has long been the toughest of the group’s releases to find, even though it went Top 100 in 1969. That’s probably because it’s both an Association album and a soundtrack album to the film starring Richard Benjamin and Ali MacGraw; about half the tracks are instrumentals composed by Charles Fox. Still, though, fans of the band won’t want to miss this; it’s got the band originals 'Goodbye, Columbus; It’s Gotta Be Real; So Kind to Me (Brenda’s Theme)', and even a wordless vocalized reprise of 'Goodbye Columbus', plus the tracks 'How Will I Know You; Dartmouth? Dartmouth!; Ron’s Reverie; Across the Field; Carmen, Ohio; A Moment to Share; Love Has a Way', and 'A Time for Love'. Great movie…great soundtrack!

Association - Waterbeds In Trinidad. CD. (Rev Ola - CRREV 214)

Released in 1972, this was the last album cut by the orignal line up and their first on Columbia. The return of prodigal son and founding member Jules Alexander boosts the albums quota of original compositions, they also tackle some Lovin' Spoonful, Gofin & King and John Stewart tracks. An overlooked gem from these unsurpassable Californian soft pop legends. Remastered from the master tapes.
