BJH's eighth album and, at the time of its release in 1976, the band had already been together for ten years! Very much a product of its time, but there are still aspects of the work that make it worthy of the remaster treatment and tracks like 'May Day', 'Ra' and 'Suicide' are all very progressive in outlook. If you have ever enjoyed the music of The Moody Blues or, more recently, bands like Pendragon you will find this release right up your street.Excellent 16 page booklet detailing the recording of the album and 5 bonus tracks.
Remastered version of the 1978 release from BJH that was based around Sci-Fi and fantasy comics and had a real slick production - compared to previous works by the band. This was also the last album that founder member Wolstenholme played on. Excellent 16 page booklet and 5 bonus tracks.

Harvest/EMI best of package by possibly one of the most interesting and original bands to come out of the progressive era. This 17 track retrospective is a suitable introduction and features sleeve notes and photo's....

Remaster of the 1974 album from BJH that was produced by Rodger Bain who had previously worked with Black Sabbath! At least three of the songs from ithe album went on to became live BJH classics. Contains 5 bonus tracks and an excellent 16 page booklet.
2002 double CD release for one of the UK's best and most underrated progressive rock outfits. This release compiles the Nexus and Revival albums on a specially priced set; the first disc being studio recordings from 1998 and the second a live set from the same era.

Avoiding the pomp and flash of bands like Yes and ELP they went for a fusion of rock and orchestral pop that resulted in a pastoral, melodic sound with tinged with late '60's psychedelia. Great debut album from 1970 for this UK progressive folk rock band. A quartet of solid rock musicians John Lees, guitar, vocals; Les Holroyd, bass, vocals; Stuart "Woolly" Wolstenholme, keyboards, vocals; and Mel Pritchard, drums. They had a knack for writing hook-laden songs built on strong melodies with harmonized vocals to create some memorable recordings and this release mixes heavier tracks such as the excellent "Takin Some Time On" with dreamy mellotron filled/orchestrated cuts. Beautifully remastered CD with TWELVE BONUS TRACKS and a cool booklet.
Quality and style literally ooze from every track on this 1973 album (the band's 4th). 'Crazy Over You' is excellent featuring fine guitar work from John Lees and wonderful mellotrons wash over the track. This album features the classic 'Moonwater' with a 60 piece orchestra and is very classically orientated. The whole album is very beautiful and before it gets boring it ends! Never mind, this re-mastered version has 10 bonus tracks.
Remastered and slipcased CD reissue of long-unavailable 1974 double album from Saddleworth Moor's prog overlords, at the peak of their very proggiest period on the 'Everyone Is Everybody Else' tour live in Liverpool. Whilst the original studio renditions of these songs may sometimes seem slight, here they are transformed into huge behemoths of sound, all drenched in Woolly Wolstenholme's oppressive mellotron and John Lees's anguished guitar. 'Summer Soldier' 'After The Day' and 'For No One' sound as wide as a room, whilst the souped- up extended rearrangement of 'Medicine Man' at nearly 9 minutes long became the closest thing they had to a hit single in their own country. The sound of a band at their zenith, before bad Eagles and Bee Gees imitiations, infighting and Europop set in. Depending on one's opinion, of course!! - LAST 3 COPIES OF THIS DELETED TITLE ECLECTIC TITLE..

The boxed set marks the first occasion that tracks from both the EMI Harvest and Polydor eras have been compiled together and includes a lavishly illustrated 80 page book telling the Barclay James Harvest story in the words of John Lees, Woolly Wolstenholme, Les Holroyd and Mel Pritchard. "All is Safely Gathered In" is an essential addition to the Barclay James Harvest catalogue. Sit at the table and harvest the fruit.
this classic album was released in 1971 and is chocked full of orchestral gems. The track "Medicine Man" has survived the ravages of time, being played live to this day on BJH tours. The album also contains the glorious finale tracks "The Poet", leading via a link part into the apocalyptic "After the Day" and remains one of the musical gems in the bands musical crown. This remastered edition contains bonus material and a fully informative booklet about the recording of the album.

Recorded live in 1974, this was the first chart success for the British harmonious progressive rock band. This includes well-known tracks from their early albums such as "Medicine Man," "After The Day," "Galadriel" and "Mockingbird." Also included here is a clever political spoof (actually a pisstake of bassist Les Holroyd's Bee Gees obsession coupled with the fact that David Bowie once asked the band if he could sleep on their sofa whilst stranded in Manchester) "The Great 1974 Mining Disaster." Nice !
Wahey!! Lees, Holroyd and Pritchard, plus their touring musicians Bias Boshell, Kevin McAlea and Colin Browne, recorded live in front of the soon-to-be-destroyed Berlin Wall in 1987, five years after their historic show on the steps of the Reichstag that became 'A Concert For The People'. This was one of the last European dates on the band's 'Face To Face; tour and as such features much material from that album such as 'Alone In The Night' and 'On The Wings Of Love' as well as older classics such as 'Love On The Line' 'Life Is For Living' 'Hold On' 'Child Of The Universe' Mockingbird' and so forth. Perhaps not the best period of their career artistically, but live they were unstoppable- watch the crowd crush at the start of 'Love On The Line' for some indication of their power. Originally shown on UK TV in truncated form by Anne Nightingale, we now present the full concert. Region O PAL disc.
Great Introductory album to this great prog rock band from the 70's. This compilation, behalf of 'EMI Gold' collects many of their earlier works form 1969 to1972. This version also includes the single version of "Medicine Man" and the previously unreleased "Pools of blue."
Big fans should not be put off the best of title, in fact it's a little misleading. This collection of tracks are mostly taken from little known singles and B-Sides from their early career, although there are classics on the album such as "Medicine Man." Twenty tracks including: "Delph Town Morn", "Vanessa Simmons", "Child Of The Universe" and "Ursula (The Swansea Song.)"
Expanded and remastered live album performed on the steps of the Reichstag in 1980. A real high water mark for the group as this propelled them forward as superstars after it was televised across Europe. The original LP was the most successful of their career to that date; this CD version has extra tracks recorded at the concert.
A latter day BJH classic, considered by many to be the finest since keyboardist Woolly Wolstenholme left the group. This found the group take their classic melodious rock sound and bring it up to date with digital recording technology and modern production. Released in 1992, this version includes three bonus tracks recorded live at the Town and Country Club in London. Includes: "John Lennon's Guitar", "Lady Macbeth" and "Cheap The Bullet.".LAST COPY
Originally released in 1979, this digitally remastered album was their first after the departure of Woolly Wolstenholme. It achieved platinum status in Germany due to the continued strong songwriting and the rock dynamics of a group in peak condition. Well crafted, melodic prog without the over dramatic solos and the unnecessary frills. Bonus tracks: "Sperratus (Unreleased single edit)", "Rock 'N' Roll Lady (Unreleased single edit)", "Capricorn (single edit)" and "Play To The World (Unreleased single edit)."
Mid '80's album, considered by many as a return to form during a difficult decade for Prog. Certainly a commercial album, it shows a group moving with the times and adapting to the radically differnet musical landscape. Includes: the most overtly religious song "He Said Love", the classic "Alone InThe Night", "Guitar Blues" and "African." Now features three bonus tracks including a rare extended German 12" single remix of "Panic.".
The classic line up of BJH on their Octoberon and Gone To Earth album tours. Remastered from the original master tapes, the thirteen track album first released in 1978 has now got three bonus tracks reocrded at the same gigs. Bonus tracks: "The World Goes On", "Medicine Man" and "Hymn For The Children."- LAST COPY OF THIS DELETED TITLE.
