Bent Wind - Sussex. CD. (Green Tree - GTR100)

Finally here is a decent edition of the monster Canadian heavy psych ultra rarity from 1969. It's a volcanic dose of intense fuzz guitar and the perfect compliment to the band's sloppy garage ambience and chugging beat. A strange case indeed as the music on Sussex is often overshadowed by the fact that the album is one of the rarest of '60's psychedelic albums. A pity as the music is as psychedelic as they come - a veritable fuzz guitar inferno! CD is housed in a digi pak and includes 5 bonus tracks plus the original artwork.

Bent Wind - Sussex. LP. (Daily Records - TRENDT-1015)

Finally an official vinyl version vinyl of this late '60's Canadian heavy psych classic featuring a noticeable improvement in sound quality and the original stereo mixes (the album was mastered in mono but recorded in stereo). This LP edition is housed in a heavy laminated sleeve and features 4 bonus tracks and the original artwork. A great album with some mind blowing acid guitar licks, the overall effect being like a more improvised Blue Cheer.

Bent Wind - Sussex (Korean Reissue). CD. (World Psychedelia - WPC6-8483)

The monster heavy psych ultra rarity from 1969 is a volcanic dose of intense fuzz guitar, the perfect compliment to the band's sloppy garage ambience and chugging beat. The music on "Sussex" is often overshadowed by the fact that the album is one of the rarest '60's psychedelic albums in the world, and too rarely judged on its own merits- a pity as the music is as psychedelic as they come, a vertitable fuzz guitar inferno. This CD edition includes two bonus single tracks (alternate versions) and a mellow nineteen minute band rehearsal jam that's pretty amazing once it gets going!

Bent Wind - Sussex/The Lost Ryerson Tapes. Dble CD. (Psychedome Records - #160ZZINALB-B)

Finally here is the definitive version of the classic and super rare Candian 1969 heavy/garage acid psych album. A major influence on Sundial, and several other bands, this album is loaded with searing acid fuzz guitar and dark trippy songs that drip late '60's psychedelia. CD1 includes all the tracks from the band's seminal album 'Sussex', both songs from their sole 45, four live rehearsal songs from Ryerson University, Ontario (recorded with the original lineup) and an incredibly rare bonus in the shape of a cover of 'Eleanor Rigby'. CD2, aka 'Bent Wind At The Pyschedome' features three previously recorded songs from earlier Bent Wind reissues, plus seven new songs recorded in 2005! Housed in a beautiful three fold digi pak this is the last word on this great album all officially licensed and sanctioned by the band. Not to be missed.
