Billie Holiday - Billie's Blues. CD. (Blue Note - 7487862) Out of the sixteen track on this fine CD, ten come from a brilliant live performance recorded in the mid '50's. Billie sings through seven of her standards before moving onto a three song jam that finds her in perfect voice, the audience audibly appreciate her efforts. The remaining album tracks come from a rare four track session for the Aladdin label in 1951 and a studio recording from '41. Featuring: "What A Little Moonlight Can Do (live)", "Detour Ahead", "Blue Moon (live)" and "Them There Eyes (live)."
