Blops - Blops. CD. (BMG - 74321 87875-2) Beautiful gentle psychedelic folk music from Chile dating from 1971. Featuring a slight psychedelic touch the sound is dreamy and spacious with flute, acoustic guitar and harmony vocals. Songs are in the bands native tongue but this makes the album even more mysterious and thought provoking. A must for those late nights.

Blops - CHILE 1970/1971/1973. 3-LP Box Set. (Shadoks Music - SHADOKS 058/059) Stunning box set limited to only 450 numbered copies. It contains all three releases by this Chilean band all of which are now incredibly rare and the music is most beautiful. If you like El Congreso, Kissing Spell and Embrujo you will adore the music of the Blops. The first album from 1970 is pure underground folk with some electric moments. The second from 1971 becomes more electric still with touching songs that make you shiver. The third album from 1973 is a fantastic electric psychedelic album with a US West Coast touch featuring trippy instrumental passages with flute, electric guitar and keyboards. Members of Kissing Spell + Embrujo later became members of Blops. The music from underground in Chile is well-known for perhaps the best music in whole South America. The Pacific coast, the influence of Indio music and the tough political pressure in 1973 makes this music so special. A real masterpiece. Incredible packaging with 180 gram vinyl pressings and the original sleeve artwork all housed in a heavy duty box with an insert.

Blops - Del Volar De Las Palomas. CD. (BMG/RCA - 74321 87877-2) Second release from this Chilean psych/folk group. Recorded in 1971, the twelve tracks here features soft vocal harmonies delicate acoustic guitar, harpsichord and South American acoustic folk influences. A beautiful mellow album recorded before the bands relocation to Argentina during the Chilean coup.

Blops - Locomotora. CD. (BMG/RCA - 74321 87876-2) Superb 1973 album from this Chilean psychedelic prog/folk group recorded in Argentina after they had left Chile following the military coup there. The album features five lengthy and mainly instrumental workouts mixing west coast styled psych with folky jamming and some great trippy guitar, flute and keyboard interplay. This was the bands third and final album before splitting. Singer/guitarist Eduardo Gatti went on to have a moderately successful solo career before reforming Los Blops briefly in 1978.

If you think you like El Congreso, you love Kissing Spell and Embrujo you will adore the music of the Blops. The first album from 1970 is pure underground folk with some electric moments, the second from 1971 becomes more electric still with most touching songs which makes you shiver and the third album from 1973 is complete electric and psychedelic with a progressive touch.The LP version of this box sold out very quick. Here is the CD version of it, beautiful laminated heavy book-box, 3 CD's in jewel cases, 2 non LP extra tracks, limited to 1000 copies.
