Buddy Rich - Last Blues Album. CD. (Charly - SNAP111CD)

Recorded in 1974 this is a fine set of bluesy jazz numbers which showcased the swing/jazz legend's unique driving percussion style. Rich is accompanied on this disc by Kenny Barron,Jimmy McGriff,George Freeman and Bob Cranshaw.

Buddy Rich - Man From Planet Jazz. CD. (Five Four - FIVEFOUR 20)

Making it's debut on CD, this scintillating firey set from Buddy and his Big Band was recorded at Ronnie Scott's Soho club in 1980. Long out of print, this is a welcome return for this high class performance and will be a valuble addition to any Rich collector / fan. This really is some of the best material out there, fully expressing the worlds greatest drummer's abilities.
