Buffalo - Average Rock 'n' Roller. CD. (Timeless - TRC22)

Last album by these giants of heavy rock. Released to a minimal fanfare upon the group's demise in 1977 it has become one (if not the) most collectable record in the band's catalogue. This album features some of genuinely thought provoking lyrics along with a number of excellent ballads including the wonderful "Hotel Ladies" a very memorable slab of brooding county blues that ventures deep into the landscapes that Neil Young is so adept at presenting.

Buffalo - Dead Forever. CD. (Akarma - AK 273)

If you love 1970s hard rock and are a Black Sabbath fan, Buffalo will perfectly fit your music shelf. One of the most interesting proposals from Australia, Buffalo debuted in 1972 (on Vertigo) with Dead Forever, a massive trip into proto- heavy metal. Two well performed covers, "Pay My Dues"by Blues Image and "I'm A Mover" by Free, an astonishing wall of dark sound and macabre cover artwork make Dead Forever a sure gem for whoever enjoys early 70 hard rock. This is also the band in which Rose Tattoo guitarist Pete Wells cut his eye teeth, which makes for another fine recommendation.Housed in a tick card digi.

Buffalo - Dead Forever. LP. (Akarma - AK 273)

Exact repro heavy duty thick card gatefold sleeve and the poster insert of the 1972 debut from Australian hard rock outfit Buffalo originally released on Vertigo (they were the first non-British band to record for the label). Ultra heavy rock similar in style to early Sabbath and paving the way for the likes of AC/DC/Rose Tattoo (whom members of this act would be involved with) later in the 70s.

Buffalo - Mothers Choice. CD. (Red Fox Records - RF 612)

Mother's Choice, was released in March 1976 and is more heads down no nonsense classic boogie acid rock from the legendary Aussie heavy rock band. This re-issue contains 6 bonus tracks, one of them being Chuck Berry's "No Particular Place To Go" which they destroy in the same way Blue Cheer did with "Summertime Blues". Excellent stuff.

Buffalo - Only Want You For Your Body. CD. (Aztec - CMQCD1250)

Very limited digitally remastered official CD re-issue of the Australian hard rock group Buffalo, 1974’s Only Want You For Your Body continues down the path marked by Black Sabbath in terms of revolutionary riffs and gloomy atmospheres. It also features more controversial cover artwork, but, above all, a series of strongly convincing (if not politically incorrect) tracks such as"I'm A Skirt Lifter, Not A Shirt Raiser", "What's Going On", "King’s Cross Ladies" and "I'm Coming On" (by Ten Years After’s Alvin Lee).Housed in a 3 fold digi pack and contains 2 bonus tracks.

Buffalo - Volcanic Rock. CD. (Aztec - AVSCD006)

Very limited digitally remastered official CD re-issue from the Australian hard rock group Buffalo, often cited as an influence on 'stoner' and 'doom' rock. Less than a year after recording their impressive debut "Dead Forever" in 1973 (which had Vertigo, claiming "Dead Forever is better in quality, production and music-wise than Black Sabbath's Vol. 4") these Australian hard rockers were back with more of that same frenzied, guitar-heavy rock that was making them living legends not just down under, but in Europe as well. Here John Baxter and friends bring us memorable songs like "Sunrise (Come my Way)," "Till My Death" and "Shylock", an authentic pearl for all fans of 70s hard'n'heavy rock. Housed in a 3 fold digi pack and contains 2 bonus tracks.

Buffalo - Volcanic Rock/Only Want You For Your Body. CD. (Minority Records - MINORITY 278)

TWO albums from the Australian heavy rock boogie band. Recorded in 1973 and 1974, they gained a reputation for being hard-working and also were very popular in France. Certainly contemporaries of AC/DC their sound also incorporates that heads down no nonsense classic boogie rock. With track titles like "I'm a skirt lifter, not a shirt raiser" this is not an album for the politically correct. It's fuckin' amazing.
