The Canned Heat album, first released in 1978 was the last complete studio album they recorded with Bob "The Bear" Hite. Now featuring two bonus tracks originally found on the biker movie "The Boogie Assault"; "Kings Of The Boogie" and "Refried Hockey Boogie." The Henry Vestine solo album was recorded in 1981 with the backing of Canned Heat (here under the moniker of the Heat Brothers), but didn't see a release until after his death in 1997. It is an interesting mix of bluesy originals and rock n roll / soul covers, acting as a perfect companion to Canned Heat in their prime. Includes in depth sleeve notes by Martin "Jet" Celmins.
