Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band - Dust Sucker. CD. (Milksafe - BF6003) An absolute treat for fans of the good Captain! This album is the demo tapes made for an album to be released in 1976 before legal wrangles stopped it in it's tracks. Many of the tracks re-surfaced on later albums but the versions here are very different reminiscent more of "Trout Mask Replica" or "Lick My Decals Off Baby" than "Shiny Beast". There are also tracks that never made official release such as "Seam Crooked Sam" and the package is rounded off nicely with seven live tracks from various years. Glassdom, Glassdom.

Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band - Clear Spot. LP. (Warner Bros. - MS 2115) This 1972 album was regarded by many as the Captain's return to form after a disappointing period. Certainly tracks such as "Big Eyed Beans From Venus," "Clear Spot" and "Low Yo Yo Stuff" harkened back to the glories of "Trout Mask Replica" and this certainly did his reputation no harm at all. Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band - Amsterdam 1980. CD. (MLP - MLP12CD) The mighty Captain Beefheart and his Magic band recorded by Dutch radio at The Paradiso in Amsterdam on November 1st 1980 whilst on a European Tour promoting their album ‘Doc At The Radar Station’. After completing the first half of his British tour, the band then travelled to Holland for some select dates and were recorded for a live broadcast by Dutch radio. This live set is of superb quality as it was mastered from the original record tape and features 18 tracks and over 75 minutes of music and includes a 12-page booklet with many previously unseen photos.

More of the Captain's usual antics on this rocking blues weirdness. An album that is a particular favourite amongst his fans and had a slight commercial strange rocking blues weirdness about it.
