With a slightly mellower west coast edge than their debut, this still manages to keep that heavy groove going and is a welcome reissue and finds Rod Evans in fine vocal form and displays them for a subtler style of rock band.

There is a power and consistency hardly ever found on debut albums.Featuring on lead vocals Rod Evans, previously of Deep Purple and Lee Dorman ex-Iron Butterfly,the guitar work,is excellent and the richly-layered vocal harmonies don't sound out of place on this hard rock monster.
