Chambers Brothers - People Get Ready & Now. CD. (Repertoire Records - REP4734) Fantastic 2 on 1 CD from the fabulous Chambers Brothers who were one of the first black bands to break through in a field that was dominated by white rock groups. The first part of the disc was recorded live in concert concert at the Ash Grove in Los Angeles and the Unicorn in Boston in 1965. The Chambers Brothers were purely an R&B outfit at the time.The second album from 1966 starts to go in the psyche funk direction they found on 'Time Has Come' one of the happiest, hippest and funkiest bands of all time!
