After a long underground career through the late 1990's with various line-ups here is the second full length album by the magnificent UK progressive, folk rock band Circulus. Taking their bow from the same stage as UK early '70's progressive folk rock giants such as Fuschia, Comus, The Incredible Stringband and Gryphon, Circulus weave a medieval progressive folk rock tapestry edged with mystery, aged oak melodies and fey musical wizardry adding a dash of their own spaced out moog weirdness to the brew. If you love quirky English melodies, cryptic and evocative lyrics, eclectic instrumentation and everything that made the first wave of UK '70's folk rock great, then this record for you. The album also features a guest appearance by Marianne Segal singing an unreleased Jade song "Swallow" complete with equisite backing by Circulus. Start here for Ye Folke Rocke Revival !
Sarf London's favourite medieval psychedelic folk band return with the first single to be released from their hugely successful debut. A double A sided affair featuring the track "Swallow" a previously unreleased song from the early 70’s written by and featuring Marian Segal from the 70’s folk band Jade on vocals. Also included is the original "My Body Is Made of Sunlight" a perfect example of the rustic pageantry of Circulus. The CD single also includes the B side "La Rotta" an instrumental only available on the vinyl version of the album. To quote the band themselves: "Imagine what it would be like if you were to accidentally slip into a medieval future when you thought it was 1972. You would probably feel as lost as we do, but there is no turning back. We believe there is nothing more fantastical than psychedelic medieval rock for procuring a good harvest!!" It might even chart.

Brand new 2006 album from the magnificent UK progressive, folk rock band Circulus - A psychedelic band with a medieval twist on a quest for the new, so be prepared to be amazed by such marvels as 'Song Of Our Despair', 'Dragon's Dance' and 'Velocity Races'. A tad more progressive than the last album this is baroque folk rock of the highest order - Key tracks ‘Song Of Our Despair’ and ‘Wherever She Goes’ are beautiful pop, whilst the harpsichord workout of ‘To The Fields’ or the Moog soaked wonders of ‘Bouree’ prove that the have lost none of their creative appeal. This latest opus was produced by Kit Woolven (Thin Lizzy, David Bowie, Cathedral, Anathema, etc).
Three track 7" single release from the UK progressive, folk rock band. The release of this years ‘Clock Are Like People’ album, saw these Medieval minstrels transcend from the potential trappings of stylized media hype, into something altogether more marvelous and uncompromising. ‘Clocks’ was a much more musically accomplished record than its predecessor (2005’s ‘The Lick On The Tip Of An Envelope Yet To Be Sent’), devoid of the contrived elements associated with a band tipped to be the ‘next big thing’. Song Of Our Despair captures the ethereal folk sensibilities of Circulus perfectly, arriving just in time for the Autumnal spirit. With Circulus, the essence of Medieval Britain is recaptured, reinvented, and embraced. Traditional folk music layered with Lutes, Crumhorns & Moog Synthesizers! Let’s celebrate.Track listing: "Song Of Our Despair", "Tapestry" (exclusive to this release) and the previously unreleased "Honeycomb."Clear vinyl.
