Colin Towns - Doc Martin - Music From The Hit ITV1 Series. CD. (POV Records - POV1105) After years of success in the Ian Gillan Band and his own Mask Orchestra, Colin Towns has recently moved into the soundtrack game, working on TV, film an advert projects to great success. His latest work is on Doc Martin, a British television comedy drama. Created by Dominic Minghella, it is filmed on location in and around the fishing village of Port Isaac in Cornwall. Tango based, highly rhythmic, with melodies shooting off in all directions, the music adds weight and dignity to Martin Clunes’ blundering, fish-out-of-water character. The music is crucial to the atmosphere and is prominent on screen.
