From it's first major explosion in the late 1970's / early 1980's, the Gothic scene has always been most fervently supported by its many followers. It is still incredibly popular around the world, as the manycompilation albums dedicated to the genre testify. The scene has thrown up many great songs, bands and characters - many of which are featured on "In Goth Daze Volume 2".The artists included here include some of Goth's star names and stalwarts, such as Fields Of The Nephilim, Specimen, Alien Sex Fiend, Nico and Skeletal Family.

Click for large image The original 1984 studio album released on CD in it’'s original format for the very first time. Formed in 1984, Play Dead were one of the many cult acts in the UK early 80's Goth scene. This album came out on CD in hte '90's but, much to the groups disdane, the tracklisting was altered and it was given a differnet name. The band will be glad to know that the original eight track album has been restored to its original tracklist and title and expanded with nine bonus numbers. Booklet features sleeve notes by Alex Ogg (No More Heroes) and interviews with the band.

Click for large image A collection of rare tracks, compilation only songs and collaborations rom the first ten years of Jim Thirlwell, this time under the name of Foetus INC. The highly influential character, a genuine independent thinking force in the underground, has been creating industrial tracks for twenty five years now. Comes packaged in a digi, overseen by the man himself. Twenty tracks in total, this barmy album has been unavailable for far too long.

Click for large image Helping to define the underground industrial scenes of the '80's, Jim Thirlwell was a major influence on the genre. Often changing his moniker (but always keeping the Foetus reference in there somewhere), Thirlwell released well known album as Scraping Foetus Off The Wheel and as Foetus INC. One of his most (relatively) commercial releases as well as an artistic peak, this 1988 album has been out of print for a long time and has been re-released here in a digi pack under the supervsion of the man himself.

They come from a time when you could casually stroll to record stores at the weekend; full of anticipation of what new bootleg albums might be available that week. Remember this was a time long before the power of the internet so you had no idea what was going to be available. Great new live albums would suddenly appear, only to disappear just as quickly. During this time there were seven Killing Joke bootleg albums released. The three albums here have been carefully reproduced & digitally re-mastered on CD and are now fully endorsed by the band for the first time ever, they now sound better then they ever have sounded before. You aren't going to find this material anywhere else on CD. Includes alternate versions of: "Intravenous", "Struggle", "Money Is Not Our God" and "The Wait."

Click for large image Interview DVD with Douglas P, attempting to get behind the scenes of the classic Kraut band. Filmed in New York at the start of 2005, it is a roller coaster ride through Douglas' life from childhood to his war-entrenched teen years to coming out to punk rock to neo folk and into the future. The man is interviewed by Darryl Hell, whose idea to replicate a day long conversation he had with Douglas P a few months earlier seems to suit them both; a unique insight into the innerworkings of this band. DVD extras include an image montage with rare versions of "Satans Feast", "Golden Wedding Of Sorrow" and "Come Before Christ And Murder Love" as well as additional interview footage.

Featured here are eight rehearsal studio recordings from 1981 and the 1983 September 9th gig at The Living Room, London. Critical to the bands history, this was the night Douglas P. and David Tibet were introduced to each other by Alan McGee. A major album for all Death In June fans out there.

Features contributions by Albin Julius of Der Blutharsch. Although sometimes considered controversial, Death In June has become very influential in certain post-industrial musical circles, this album coming from the era when Douglas P was the sole member of the group, his choice of collaboration this time inspiring each album.

Taking their name from an album track on Bowie's "Diamond Dogs" they former in West Yorkshire 1982. Along with the Sisters of Mercy and Southern Death Cult, The Skeletal Family led the charge of the Gothic Punk brigade of the early '80s. This twenty four track collection features live clips, promos and interviews spanning their whole career, incorportaing all of their line ups.
