Dave Alvin - Romeo's Escape. CD. (Acadia - ACA 8105) First released in '87, this is the founding member of The Blasters landmark album. Now accepted as one of the best troubadours of America, his first solo album is available for the first time in years. And what a welcome return it is. Produced by Los Lobos member Steve Berlin, these eleven are essential American roots songs. Features guest musicians Al Kooper, Katy Moffat and David Hidalgo from Los Lobos. Tracks include: "I Wish It Was Satuday Night", "Long White Cadillac", "Brother (On The Line)", and "Border Radio."
