Dead Kennedys - Mutiny On The Bay. LP. This live LP presents not a single entire performance but rather pieces of four different shows that date from 1982 and 1986. The original soundboard tapes have been digitally remastered and still retain a fair degree of their original energy and grunge. Almost all the great DK songs are here, from 'Police Truck' and 'Kill The Poor' to 'Hellnation' and 'MTV - Get Off The Air.' The energy in these tracks is undeniable.

Dead Kennedys - Live At The Deaf Club. CD. (Decay - DKS15CD) Recorded in march 1979, this beautiful digipak documents the whole DK's performance from that evening. It was also the last time that they played together as a five-piece (6025 was also playing guitar). Featuring a cover of 'Back In The USSR', a disco version of 'Kill The Poor' (?!) and an unreleased track called 'Gaslight', this is a definite highlight in the story of West Coast punk.Great 3 fold digi artwork.

Dead Kennedys - In God We Trust. LP. (DK - DKS6) The band didn't hold back on this 1981 mini LP. The sheer speed and lack of any subtlety throughout most of this eight-song mini album means it's full of sheer anger and rage.Every track is a corker from "Nazi Punks Fuck Off," to "Religious Vomit,"and "Hyperactive Child." The sheer hilarity of the band isn't lost at the end of the album we have "We've Got a Bigger Problem Now" this was reworking of "California Über Alles,"which starts with an amusing smooth intro with more bile/hate than before. The winner closes the album with a joyful ride through "Rawhide,".

Dead Kennedys - DMPO's On Broadway. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVDOO1N) This Dead Kennedys' performance, June 1984, marked the closing of San Francisco's DMPO's on Broadway Avant-garde Theatre and Nightclub. Director Dirk Dirksen documents the performance of Klaus Flouride, D.H. Peligro, East Bay Ray and Jello Biafra. This 58 minute concert featuring classics like 'Police Truck', 'Bleed For Me' 'Nazi Punks' and 11 more and was captured in real time using four cameras. Region 0 NTSC stereo disc.

Dead Kennedys - Frankenchrist. LP. Repro of the 1985 release opens with a creepy guitar line that perfectly accompanies the topic of the song "Soup Is Good Food," The song "This Could Be Anywhere" is a powerful song addressing the topic of kids and violence in urban sprawl. The machine gun drums, pummeling bass and screaming guitars make this one of DK's best songs. On the other hand, "MTV Get Off The Air's" attack on the major label music business is still as valid today as it ever was.Excellent album and cover artwork make this a punk gem.

Dead Kennedys - Give Me Convenience Or Give Me Death. LP. Exact repro of this album (including newspaper) which was released just as the band called it a day, a collection of rarities, singles and live material.Showing the serious and intense side as well as the more humorous side. Essentials like "Police Truck," "Too Drunk To Fuck," "I Fought The Law," as well as single versions of "California Uber Alles" and "Holiday In Cambodia" are all here. On the live tune "Pull My Strings" the song then proceeds to pan the rock star mentality and then uses the riff from "My Sherona" by The Knack with the lyrics "drool, drool, drool, drool / My Payola." Absolutely brilliant! . Last but not least is a high-octane version of "Buzzbomb Of Pasadena" with Biafra singing in an old ladies voice.

Dead Kennedys - DMPOS On Broadway. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD001) Dead Kennedys are possibly, next to Ramones and Black Flag, the greatest American punk band. Their Cherry Red album "Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables" has sold over 150,000 copies in the UK alone. This is one of the bands last ever live concerts before their break-up in 1984. There were only 2 concerts in the bands history that were captured on film, so footage of them is very rare. The DVD contains extra features including the complete discography of the band, a complete list of all Kennedys releases available on Cherry Red, a complete list of videos available in the Visionary video catalogue and the facility to play individual tracks. Their last real album (1986),and contained the mega-fast blast of songs in the style of Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables or In God We Trust, Inc., but more Polished.Dead Kennedys parodying the Dead Kennedys? "Dear Abby," "Rambozo The Clown" and "Triumph Of The Swill" "Fleshdunce" and "A Commercial" are a few examples of the attack on the media. Other topics include the usual; corrupt government, scientific nightmares, military and everything else.Exact repro in a gatefold sleeve.

Dead Kennedys - Plastic Surgery Disasters. LP. (DKR - DKS9) Exact repro of the 1982 album (including the hefty booklet) where the band were at their strongest musically while still retaining the naive spirit of revolution and rebellion.The songs are slightly slower and more complex while the huge, sinewy horror guitars of East Bay Ray are at an all time high (see "Bleed For Me" and "I Am The Owl" for evidence). PSD's is one long attack on the apathetic attitude of the American good life. "Government Flu" points the finger at government experimentation, "Terminal Preppie" attacks the college frat-boy meathead. "Winnebago Warrior" uses the lyric "30 gallons to the mile." As relevant as ever in this day of petrol guzzling people carriers etc!

Dead Kennedys - Milking The Sacred Cow… Very Best Of. CD. (Cherry Red - CDMRED 340) The popular and respected American punk rock band have compiled together their ten best known recordings onto one glorious package. Included here are: "Move Over Marin", "Nazi Punks Fuck Off", "Police Truck" and "Halloween" alongside two unreleased live songs "Soup Is Good Fun" and "Jock-Orama."
