Dirty Blues Band - Dirty Blues Band. CD.

Featuring former Misunderstood steel guitarist Glenn Ross Campbell and the vocals of 19 year old harp genius Rod Piazza (later of Bacon Fat and the Mighty Flyers) the Dirty Blues Band played hard and heavy guitar and harmonica blues. Their debut is a mean and dirty production of rambling guitars and screaming vocals, fans of Paul Butterfield will appreciate this but every one will dig that howling versions of "Hound Dog". Originally released in 1967 this album has become quite sought after amongst collectors and blues fans alike.

Dirty Blues Band - Stone Dirt. CD.

More blues from the dirty bunch on this their second album, also originally released on Bluesway in 1968, offers up some incredibly authentic sounding hard blues. Again Rod Piazza really stands out as both an impassioned vocalist and one hell of a harp player (at 21 years old he already had some mean moves!), he also proves himself as a competant original song writer on this album as well as a brilliant interpreter. Hard blues the way it should sound from an underrated group of American individuals.
