Doug Sahm - Doug Sahm & Band. CD. (Collectors Choice - CCM 7062)

Every American musical style under the sun, Blues, country, rock n roll, Tex-Mex and more! A lost classic by Doug Sahm, produced by Arif Mardin. A stellar supporting group featring Dr. John and Flaco Jimenez, this proves essential for all Dylan fans as he pops up as a backing performer and shares vocals on three tracks. "Wallflower" is a Zimmerman performance exclusive to this album! Surprisingly ignored on it's release in '72, perhaps the US wasn't ready for this twisted Texas vison of roots rock. Featuring: "Dealers Blues", "Faded Love", "Poison Love", and "Papa Ain't Salty."
