Dream Syndicate - Weathered And Torn. DVD. (MVD - DR2293DVD)

The invention of DVD has meant the unearthing of some of music's great unseen moments, and this is certainly one of them. A document of this great American psychedelic band (featuring Steve Wynn, now a highly respected solo artist) who alongside Long Ryders and The Rain Parade, epitomised the 'Paisley Underground' scene of the early-mid 80s, and recorded in their natural habitat- on the road. The format is similar to Pennebaker's classic Dylanography "Don't Look Back" in its candid depiction of touring's peaks and troughs, and is appreciable for its cinematic qualities as well as for the fine music contained within. Featuring "John Coltrane StereoBlues", "Now I Ride Alone" and other classics. All Region NTSC 5.1 surround sound. .
