Earth, Wind & Fire - Earth, Wind & Fire. LP. (Warner Bros. - 1905)

1970 debut for Maurice White's soul/funk collective. A great blend of psychedelic rock with dance music creating a fantastic album that gives no indication as to the disco hell that would ensue later that decade. For fans of Funkadelic, Sly Stone, etc. Pressed on 180 gram vinyl.

Earth, Wind & Fire - The Promise. CD. (Snapper / Charly - SNAP248CD)

Second edition of 2003 comeback album from one of the most unusual and musically diverse acts the world of soul ever produced. Good to know that in an age where the most plastic, soulLESS shite ever masquerades as 'soul', these old masters are here to show the pretenders (no, not The Pretenders!!) how it should be done. And yes, Maurice White's hair still looks like a pair of headphones. Includes a guest appearance from ex-Sequencer Angie Stone.

Earth, Wind & Fire - Rio After Dark. CD. (Snapper / Charly - SNAP234CD)

The name Earth Wind And Fire will need no introduction to anyone who knows soul, disco and funk in even the slightest sense. Their early albums are psych-soul masterpieces, their huge line-up features some of the finest musicians ever to sport an afro, and their extravagant sci-fi themed shows (with a similar look to Yes and ELO that led them to be labelled 'prisco' by certain people) are genius to behold. This CD is taken from one such show, live in Rio De Janeiro in 1980, where they pull out all the stops and deliver a set of both hits and album tracks- everything from 'Boogie Wonderland' 'After The Love Has Gone' and 'September' to 'Serpentine Fire' and 'In The Stone' which show that their fascination with magic, sorcery, and to name another track, 'Fantasy', hadn't abated. Full original lineup included here. Stonking!

Earth, Wind & Fire - Last Days And Time / Head To The Sky. CD. (B.G.O. Records - BGOCD768)

Earth, Wind & Fire’s first two albums for CBS, dating from 1972 and ’73. These albums find the group incorporating seemingly all of the genres under the sun and successfully moulding these styles into their own, notably this was when the hits started to emerge, most notably on Head To The Sky. Includes: "Remember The Children", "Build Your Nest", "Mom" and "Zanzibar." Digitally remastered and slipcased.
