F/I - Helioscopium. CD. 62 minutes of mind-warping space rock from the USA, as F/i jam out solidly on this full length album. Booklet credits to (amongst others) Hawkwind, Frank Zappa, Blue Cheer, Black Sabbath and Jerry Garcia might give you some idea, but I bet you still won't be prepared for this sonic skullcrusher, with its long instrumental jamming.

F/I - Blue Star/Merge Parlour. CD. (Lexicon Devil - LEXDEV 6) Two-on-one CD offering combining F/I's 1990 album 'Blue Star' with the 'Merge Parlour' EP. Wild space-rock meets avant-psych. Sonic delights that concentrate more on more brutal rock leanings, the end result approximating a kind of midwestern take on the classic Space Ritual-era Hawkwind or UFO-period Guru Guru sound. Blue Star has long been regarded as the bands best album and is rare on vinyl but now finally available on CD!

F/I - A Question For The Somnambulist. CD. (SAA - SAAH040) Milwaukee psychedelic rock-and-sound legends F/i spawned a space-rock scene in the 80's unlike any other around. By harnessing the ghosts of Hawkwind, Leaf Hound and Blue Cheer, extracting the Kraut rock scene from the early 1970’s, and sifting it through industrial sounds and analog electronics, over time it has become evident that F/I have quietly influenced a whole new generation of exploratory instrumental freakers. A mini event in its own right, this 2006 releasemarks the return of original member Richard Franecki, who left in 1990 to pursue the way-out trajectories that his band Vocokesh continue to explore. Originally issued in a miniscule run in 2003, A Question For The Somnambulist traverses dark and hazy landscapes, hypnotic textures laced with electronics and exploratory guitar riffs dripping with effects. Resuscitated from the annals of uber-obscurity for another suckerpunch to your third eye, this reissue includes one bonus track from the sessions and comes in a limited edition of 1000 housed in a deluxe letterpressed and recycled paperboard package.
