Fabulous Thunderbirds - Live In London. DVD. (Iguana Project - IPDVD006) An excellent, pure blooded rock and roll performance from this perennially popular US band, who like so many others (Mink Deville, Clover, Eggs Over Easy) achieved recognition first in the UK as a result of the pub-rock explosion that presaged punk. This concert is taken from the mid 80s shortly after the release of the Dave Edmunds-produced 'Tuff Enuff', the MTV-rotated single that restored them to the public consciousness after some years without a label, and was recorded in the city that always loved them most (the exact venue being the Camden Palace) in front of a frenzied audience of true rockers. Appearing here for the first time on (Region 0) DVD, the bonus features include a photo gallery, and the whole package is reasonably priced.

Twenty-five years into the Fab Ts’ career, Kim Wilson is still a master of the blues, fast and slow. This live set revisits the band’s biggest hits, plus borrowed classics like ‘My Babe’ and ‘The Things I Used To Do’. As they used to say about the Yardbirds, this is most blueswailing.
