Noticably more manic than their debut, it is a perfect partner to their energetic live shows of the era. Led by the ambitious, confrontational Frank Tovey, the other personnel were constantly revolving but most of the original nband manged to stick arounfd for this album. Includes: "Diminished Responsibility", "Saturday Night Special" and "Innocent Bystander."

Fad Gadget - Fireside Favourites. CD. (Mute - CDSTUMM3) 1980 debut album by the group led by performance artist Frank Tovey. One of the highlights of early '80's experimental synth music, this nine track album is a joy. Tovey (clearly the man with the ideas in the group) always had an earnest or sarcastic lyrical edge and the atmospheric synth backing and sound effects still sounds innovative now. Includes: "Insecticide", "State Of The Nation" and "Coitus Interruptus."
