This is the first European release by the first Japanese progressive rock group, who featured the keyboardist and future new age composer, Kitaro. The band changed their name from Far Out and released The Cave Down to Earth in 1975. Nipponjin their first European release featured re-recorded versions of material from the Cave down to Earth and Far Out albums. A classic Japanese space rock sound with spacey keyboards to the fore, sounding like Pink Floyd meets Tangerine Dream. Nipponjin contains all their trademark trippy guitars and synths plus studio trickery.
