Freedom - Through The Years. LP. (Akarma - AK 222)

Originally released in 1971, this album was heavily influenced by the heavy Cream-style blues rock prevalent at the time. Heavy use of guitars and mellotrons throughout. Featuring Bobby Harrison (ex-Procol Harum), Roger Saunders, Peter Dennis and Steve Jolly. 180 gram Akarma release with gatefold sleeve.

Freedom - Through The Years. Dble CD. (Angel Air - SJPCD027)

Remastered version of his 1971 album from the UK band. Alternately psychedelic, jazzy and progressive, thisalbum deserved to reach a wider audience than they did. Led by two former members of Procol Harum, Freedom found success in Germany with a sound that appealed to a generation of rock fans.

A '60s psych classic unearthed! Featuring two ex-members of Procol Harum, Freedom sounded in places, similar to early Traffic adding a jazzy feel to their psych tinged rock. This is the soundtrack to the film "Nerosubianco" recorded in 1968. Some of it, such as the opening "To Be Free" is pure Rubble Psych...Limited to 1000 numbered copies

Third album from Procol Harum spin-off Freedom. Dating from 1972, it is a blend of UK poppy-psychedelia and prog-rock recorded as the latter was ousting the former as the chosen style of music. Sounding in places like Traffic, this was their final album before splitting up. Eight tracks including "Brainbox Jam", "Together" and "Ladybird". Akarma 180 gram vinyl release housed in wonderful heavy duty window card sleeve.

Originally released in 1969 on BYG in France this is the debut heavy rock album by the spin off from Procol Harum, formed by guitarist Ray Royer and drummer Bobby Harrison (who both played on Whiter Shade of Pale) A heavy acid blues trio sounding similar to early '70's Procol Harum or Traffic with flashes of late '60's psychedelia. Great keyboard work and some mean guitar breaks.Gatefold 180 gram vinyl.
