(Westbound - CDSEWD 108) Hot and sweaty, this live performance from 1971 captures the band at their best, before the acid wore off and they slipped into the disco dirge. Inspired by the likes of Vanilla Fudge and Arthur Brown, they were capable of rockin' out with the best of them, but with a unique funky edge. Includes killer live versions of some of their classics - 'Maggot Brain' and 'Free Your Mind & Your Ass Will Follow'.

The final bonus cut is the B-side of the 1972 single by Gary Shider’s group US, ‘I Miss My Baby’.

(Snapper - SVIN002LP) 180 gram vinyl/gatefold sleeve with printed inner of this George Clinton masterpeice.The title could be a humorous phrase or nothing more than playful tomfoolery, or it could be a double entendre with a deep political meaning. The phrase "electric spanking of war babies" falls into the latter category . It's referring to what the funk innovator saw as the U.S. government using the media to promote imperialistic wars. To Clinton, the American media functioned as a propaganda machine during wartime. But whether or not one cares to examine its hidden political messages, Electric Spanking is an above-average party album
