(Castle - CMRCD068) After 25 years directing the Black Sabbath rhythm section (well, on and off) and penning such great lyrics as 'What is this that stands before me?' and 'YOU BASTARDS!', bassist Geezer Butler formed his own cutting edge nu-breed hard rock combo in 1995, borrowing a vocalist from Fear Factory and a theme from futuristic sci-fi epics.

G/Z/R - Ohmwork. CD. (Mayan - MYNCD037) There can be few bass players in metal as legendary as Geezer Butler. Not only the bassist but the principal lyricist for Black Sabbath, he influenced practically every metal act ever with his powerful, brooding riffage and dark imagery. This is the third album released under the G/Z/R banner since 1995, and is pretty much what one would expect: solid wall-to-wall metal full of aggression, power and most importantly melody. Once again featuring Clark Brown on vocals, and a superstar drummer in the shape of the Chilis' Chad Smith: expect nothing less than brutality.
