Gary Numan - Down In The Park (The Alternative Anthology). Dble CD. (Essential - ESACD785) With their Kraftwerk-influenced, sci-fi synthesizer music, Gary Numan and Tubeway army enjoyed enormous success in the UK charts in the late 70s/early 80s. This enormous sounding 2-CD comp contains one disc of live recordings and another of his studio greats, including "Are Friends Electric", "Cars", "We Are Glass", "I Die You Die", "Down In The Park" etc.

Gary Numan - Anthology. dualdisc. (Silverline - 2845542) Dualdisc containing some of the greatest hits of the pioneering electro-rocker, a mixture of live and studio versions of hits such as 'We Are Glass' 'Me I Disconnect From You' 'Bezerker' 'Cars' 'Are Friends Electric' and later tracks like 'The Sleep Room' and 'This Dying Machine'. Format includes two sides- one of audio, the other of DVD footage of concerts and promo videos.

Gary Numan - Disconnection. 3-CD Set. (Castle - CMETD466) It’s taken far too long, but Gary Numan is finally being acknowledged as one of the most influential rock figures of the last 25 years. So the time is right for this triple retrospective of his own Numa back catalogue from the late 80s and early 90s, which brings together singles, key album tracks, unheard live recordings and a host of other rarities ­ plus, of course, rare photos, lengthy sleeve-notes, and quotes from Gary himself.

Gary Numan - Complete John Peel Sessions. CD. (Maida Vale / Cooking Vinyl - MVRCD001) Various sessions from across the goth synth hero's lengthy career, brought together for the first time. The collection opens with two sessions from 1979, the first one took place three months before the release of the second Tubeway Army album Replicas and they are suitably bleak in their style. Included on the second session was a funky version of Numan's biggest hit "Cars", this alternate arrangement probably stems from this new composition being largely untested live at this point. The last session which features on the second CD is from 2001, with Numan recording nine tracks at Peel's behest. This previously unavailable collection was recorded to promote his album Pure. A real collectors choice for Numan fans, the crunchy guitars, analogue bleeps and the clear technological advances being made still leave the listener in awe. Also includes: "I Can't Breathe", "Me! I Disconnect From You" "Conversation" and "Prayer For The Unborn."
