Genesis - Way We Walk: The Longs Vol. 2. CD. (Charisma - GENCD5) Companion issue to Volume One, this live album concentrated on the longer epic songs from the Genesis back catalogue. Recorded live during their 1992 tour, it shows that although they had become a tireless popo machine by this point, they could still revel in the past convincingly. Including versions of "Lamb Lies Down On Broadway", "Musical Box", "Driving The Last Spike" and "I Know What I Like".

It might have been commercial, but it was still rock music, albeit catering for the masses. This slight dissapointment is made up by the enthusiastic crowd and the fantastic atmosphere caught on record. Genesis - Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. Dble CD. (Charisma - CGSCDX1) Virtually Peter Gabriel's swansong, this 1974 double concept album still stands the test of time as a prog rock masterpiece. Due to the sheer length of the record, this albums separates the people with a passing interest in the group and the hardcroe fans; many view this as their greatest achievement. Surprisingly their only double LP release, this has been remastered.

Genesis - Live. CD. (EMI - CLACDX 1) Great album, recorded in 1973, featuring the original line-up. Peter Gabriel is on top form here, belting out versions of "Watcher Of The Skies", "Musical Box" and "Return Of The Giant Hogweed" amongst others. Essential!

Genesis - Invisible Touch. CD. (Charisma - GEN CD2) 1986 album including the mega hits "Tonight Tonight Tonight", "Land Of Confusion", "In Too Deep" and the title track. This is their transition from prog rockers to stadium rockers complete. Their biggest selling album, there are still hints of their prog past and a weight to their son writing between the radio friendly '80's production and light synth sounds.

Genesis - From Genesis To Revelation. Dble CD. (Snapper - 142952) 1969 saw the band release its first album, and on this album you get all the 60's effect's like phasing, sweeping strings, panning etc and is a really good example of psychedelia from the UK (forget what the band became). If you imagine the best and most psyche parts of the Moody Blues,World of Oz, Bee Gees etc you start to get the picture. The great thing as well is that Phil Collins hasn't even joined the band yet! The 2 disc set of this album includes demo tracks and single tracks and over 20 minutes of an interview with the producer, Jonathan King. NOW DELETED, GRAB THIS WHILE YOU CAN.

Genesis - Foxtrot (remaster). CD. (Virgin Records - CASCDX 1058) One of THE classic progressive UK albums. The band's 1972 album which includes the classics "Time Table", "Get 'Em Out By Friday" and the "Supper's Ready" suite. Superb pastoral, '70s progressive rock.

Genesis - Calling All Stations. CD. (Charisma - GENCD6) Replacing Phil Collins as lead singer with ex Stiltskin front man Ray Wilson was seen as sacriligious by many long time Genesis fans. (Where were they when Gabriel left?) However this 1997 album shows a continuation of the basic band ethos of exploratory rock music with a commercial edge and did the band's sales figures no harm at all (yes it did, they split up!!- Hindsight Ed).
