(Voiceprint - VP368CD) 2005 release from the 'grandparents' (no longer a euphemism!) of British/Australian freak psych space rock, both founders of the beloved Gong. One might be surprised to hear that with this album they have turned their talents toward children's stories and spoken word with ambient backing: not that they haven't dabbled in it before with 'Mother' 'Fairy Tales' and of course the various songs and stories of Zero The Hero. However, when one reads that titles include 'You Are A Bum' 'The Fable Of A Fredfish Overheard' and 'The Curious Story Of What Happened To Mr Camembert When He Visited His Son In A Doggerel' one knows exactly what kind of stories Daevid and Gilli will be telling their children (who appear on the record with THEIR children) and one realises not much has changed. Apparently, Mr Ashcroft, the drugs DID work after all!! Released in stylish digipak format.
