Recorded at Golden State Recorders in San Francisco and produced by Country Joe the band's music is prime SF acid rock. The CD also includes live recordings from the Fillmore West also made in 1970. A great rediscovered West Coast psych rock band reminiscent of Frumious Bandersnatch but also with flashes of Quicksilver, Santana and Big Brother & The Holding Company - with that trademark Frisco guitar sound to the fore. CD comes with a detailed booklet.

(World In Sound Records - RFR 19) From March 1970 these are quality acid rock live recordings from the San Franciscan psych rock band Gold (featured on the Nuggets From the Golden State series). Similar to Frumious Bandersnatch, Quicksilver, Santana, Big Brother & The Holding Company - with a trademark Frisco guitar sound - these recordings come housed in really thick card gatefold sleeve, with poster insert and a free 7" that features a previously unreleased version of "No Parking" as well as a cover of Gershwin's "Summertime" (produced by Country Joe McDonald). Very cool and limited.

Superb West Coast psychedelic rock with great guitar work and perfect sound quality. The usual excellent packaging from Rockadelic....

Similar to Frumious Bandersnatch Quicksilver, Santana, Big Brother & The Holding Company with a trademark Frisco guitar sound, the album includes a cover of Country Joe's "Summer Dresses" and "Piece Of Your Action". 70 minutes of stunning sound quality acid rock from 1971 released by the good folks at World In Sound. The sound is so good it's almost a studio album!
