Harpers Bizarre - The Secret Life Of.... CD. (Sundazed - SC6178)

The third and most psychedelic of the four Harpers Bizarre albums from 1969. A weird eclectic psychedelic mixture of pop styles, all held together with an expensive lush orchestrated production. This album is closest to The Millennium and Sagittarius featuring an assortment of "story" based tracks that owe a great deal to the "Sergeant Peppers" concept. Soft vocal harmonies, gentle melodies and a huge array of instrumentation make this a highly satisfying experience. Taken from the masters with two bonus tracks...housed in a beautiful pop psych art too!

Harpers Bizarre - Feelin' Groovy. CD. (Sundazed - SC 6176)

Classic US '60's harmony, pop-psike from 1967 endowed with a lush production and a roaring '20's vibe. Layered vocal harmonies, complex orchestration and top songwriters/session men (Van Dyke Parks, Randy Newman, Lowell George) add to the brew. Featuring the bands smash hit rendition of the Simon and Garfunkel song this release is taken from the master tapes with two bonus tracks.

Harpers Bizarre - Anything Goes. CD. (Sundazed - SC 6177)

Second album from 1968 by the US '60's band. Comparable to The Association, Millenium and Sagittarius but with a dash of the Lovin' Spoonful this is quality, lush '60's psike-pop given the full LA production job. The sunshine vibe is infused with an Old West/1920's feel, much in the same style as many contemporaries of the time. Taken from the master tapes with two bonus tracks.

Harpers Bizarre - 4. CD. (Sundazed - SC 6179)

The final Harpers Bizarre album from 1970 was as strong a collection as any of the others and included versions of Jim Pepper's "Witchi Tai To", the Beatles' "Blackbird" and the self titled theme song to the brilliant Peter Sellers film "I Love You Alice B.Toklas" (one of the best dope songs ever written) A quality ending to a productive but short lived career....From the master tapes with two bonus tracks.
