First released in 1983 and includes the single "Motorway City", "Sonic Attack", "Brainstorm" and "Social Alliance". 'Zones' was the album that returned Hawkwind to the UK Top 50 and re-established them as a major force in the rock world. With special guest Michael Moorcock.
Stonking live show from London's Astoria just after Christmas 2000. Featuring Brock, House, Chadwick, Blake, Kniveton, Richards, Bainbridge and Tree and with special appearances by Michael Moorcock (by satellite from Texas), Jez Huggett and Captain Rizz. Plenty of the usual live favourites here (Levitation, Angels of Death, Motorway City, Hurry On Sundown, Spirit of The Age). Some of us were at this show, and we can certainly vouch for the fact that it rocks - and then some !
Remastered and repackaged issue of the 1988 studio album from Dave Brock and his merry band of cosmic warriors. Largely under-rated on release, this has since been regarded as one of the classic releases from the Eighties.
"We're gonna do something really 'eavy now. Fall on top of you. . . " A slightly cut-above Hawkwind compilation here, packaged in a clam box with an eight page booklet, featuring (for once!) high quality concert recordings spread over two discs- the first containing material taken from the Watchfield Festival 1975 and the infamous 'Atomhenge' tour 1976 (Bristol), and the second from Stonehenge (where else) and Queens Hall, Barnstaple in 1977. In other words, the CALVERT era!!! The band's finest period and most creative run (don't forget, Nik Turner appears on the first disc too), and one they still haven't bettered. Disc 3 is a DVD interview with 'Doctor' Dave Brock himself, recorded in 2002, and quite frank and candid it is too. A fascinating package, no relation to the other 'Welcome To The Future' ( unofficial 4CD release later known as 'Entire And Infinite Universe Of').
This CD, previously known as Weird Tapes 7, collects a whole bunch of demos from Dave Brock. He plays all the instruments here and early versions of tracks to later grace the Hawkwind stage include "First Landing On Medusa," "Choose Your Masques," "Circles" and many more.
The final and long-awaited volume in the officially sanctioned 'Weird Tapes' series, long awaited by all fans. Not only does this include material from the classic 'Space Ritual' lineup, but it also features the earliest known recordings to exist anywhere of Dave Brock- from the days when he busked outside Stones gigs and accompanied chartbusting one-man-band Don Bradshaw of 'Rosie' fame on tour. Well, we'll be jiggered.
An assortment of performances from 1970 to 1973 a period that saw Hawkwind virtually invent the spacerock genre. Includes versions of "Hurry On Sundown", "Master Of The Universe" and more.
Live cuts from two seminal years with musicians including Turner, Calvert, Rudolph, Shaw, House, King and Powell - all overseen by Dave Brock and including tracks such as "Brainstorm," "Assassins Of Allah," "Forge Of Vulcan," "Where Are They Now" and more.
More live groovy tripped up and out space rock from the masters of the genre. This 1978 showcase features the Brock/Calvert/Swindells/Bainbridge/Griffin line-up and includes "Spirit Of The Age,","Death Trap","Urban Guerilla," "Steppenwolf," "Micro Man" and others.
Formerly known as Weird Tapes 3, this compiles live tracks from the 1977 Stonehenge Free Festival and 1975 Watchfield Festival. The latter features Nik Turner and Paul Rudolph, whilst the Bob Calvert led 'Henge sat includes "Damnation Alley," "High Rise" and "Uncle Sam's On Mars."
Five live tracks from the Spirit Of The Age 1977 tour and three 1978 studio tracks from The Hawklords. Featured cuts include "Quark, Strangeness & Charm," "Valium 10," "Welcome To The Future" and "Masters Of The Universe" and musicians include Bob Calvert, Simon House and Steve Swindells.
Formerly the first of the "Weird Tapes" series, this CD collects a bundle of live tracks from 1977 together with some Dave Brock studio tracks. Space rock that rocks and is spacey !
Superb quality live album recorded partly at the last Stonehenge Free Festival of 1984. Including Ginger Baker on drums, this is a fine musical and social document that captures the spirit of the last year of that great festival. Tracks include "Levitation", "Space Chase" and "Stonehenge Decoded".
Here is the no-holds barred story of Hawkwind, the legendary ensemble that came out of London's 60's counterculture, survived three decades as a truly underground band and invented Space Rock. This heavy hardback book has 546 pages and includes numerous photos of the band from the late '60's to the present day. Featuring interviews with virtually all band members including Dave Brock Nik Turner and Lemmy plus an extensive discography, this is pretty much the essential book on this great band. A VERY SPECIAL PRICE FOR A LIMITED PERIOD (Cover price £19.95!)
Brand new studio album from the mighty Wind that contains 10 tracks including a re-working of "Spirit of the Age" (featuring newsreader/presenter Matthew Wright on vocals). Other highlights include "Angela Android" which features the vocal talents of one Lene Lovich- yes, that Lene Lovich- and the brilliant "Letter To Robert" (dedicated to Mr Calvert). Otherwise the lineup is: Dave Brock, Alan Davey, Richard Chadwick (the most consistent member other than Brock, having remained since 1990), Jez Huggett on saxes and new keyboardist Jason Stuart. Their first full studio album since 1998's 'Distant Horizons' and possibly their best since at least 'Space Bandits' in 1990.

Attention!! This is your Captain speaking. . .The first new Hawkwind single since 1992's excellent almost-hit 'Right To Decide' (subsequent 90s albums lacked a single release) and a bit of an odd one, as it came about as the result of a 'bet' between bandleader Dave Brock and TV presenter Matthew Wright, who claimed he could recite the late great Bob Calvert's stream-of-consciousness rambling from the classic (some might say peerless) 1977 original verbatim (Well, so can I! - Jealous Freak Employee) and was subsequently asked to do so on record. This is the full-length live version of the track, which also features Wright, and will be released simultaneously with the Radio Edit on CD1. The single prefaces the forthcoming album 'Take Me To Your Leader', hailed as their finest for over a decade, and also features a live version of 'Paradox'- a track originally released on 'Hall Of The Mountain Grill' in 1974, but appearing in a very different style here. These tracks are unavailable anywhere else, so have your money and cards at the ready!!

This is Disc 1, featuring the radio edit, plus live versions of 'Angela Android' (the album track which features Lene Lovich on vocals, although this version is sung by drummer Richard Chadwick) and 'Assassins Of Allah' (aka 'Hassan I Sabha') recorded at the London Astoria in December 2004. Neither of these tracks will appear anywhere else in this form, so snap 'em up!!!NOW DELETED WE HAVE 2 COPIES LEFT.
First new album of the New Millenium from the timeless British kings of sci-fi trip-rock. Dave Brock has added a whole host of new shipmates this time around, but the end result is still as you'd expect - a smorgasbord of guitars, synths, samples, violins etc all contributing to a mix of sometimes ambient trance, sometimes screaming space rock that all is indelibly stamped with that magic Hawkwind vibe.
Easily the best Hawkwind item since the multi fold digi paks from a EMI a few years back, this great CD documents the whole 1972 Brixton show in it's entirety, capturing the final night of the tour (from which some of the Space Ritual album was lifted) and all it's manic glory. The set includes some lavish packaging with a four fold digi-pak with unpublished 1972 photos on a fold out poster, a full colour ritual poster and a black & silver clam shell box. Over 63 minutes of digitally remastered brain damage with great sound quality. Very, very limited so be quick!- THIS IS NOW THE LAST COPY AS IT'S NOW BEEN DELETED AT THE SUPPLIER.
Hawkwind's first album of the 90's featured the return of Simon House and the first album with a female vocalist, Bridgett Wishart. Opening track "Images" has rightfully taken its place in the pantheon of classic 'Wind tracks. Remastered and repackaged reissue.
The legendary double album document of Hawkwind's mind frying 1972 Space Ritual tour. Now remastered and housed in a jewel box with the original packaging designs this is the bible for fans of space rock. Three bonus tracks including a killer version of "You Shouldn't Do That" removed from the original LP and the best sound ever! Blast Off!
Niftydigi pack compilation A and B sides from 1970 to 1980. Contains the banned "Urban Guerilla" as well as studio cuts of "Born To Go" and "Seven By Seven" as well of course as "Silver Machine".
One of Hawkwind's best albums on CD at last, first issued in 1981. Sonic spaced head attack with the classic title track (first released in its Calvert-fronted 'live' version on 'Space Ritual' some eight years previous) plus "Angels Of Death" (still in their live set today) "Rocky Paths" (featuring Huw Lloyd Langton on vocals) the gibbering, clucking "Psychosonia", Mooorcock's camp-as-a-row-of-tents rant 'Coded Languages' and more! Historically significant in the band's career as this was the album that gave them their rebirth in the NWOBHM. Either their last great album or their first 'decline' record (as it was the first to effectively rewrite old material) whichever way you wish to view it. Brilliant in parts, baffling in others. The nature of the 'Wind really!! - Running low on stock of this now.2 copies only
June 21st 1984, on a summer solstice day Hawkwind unleashed a milestone of a show on the historic site of Stonehenge (the last ever Stonehenge Free Festival) Cherry Red are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of this historic moment in space by releasing a full-length version of the event for the first time ever on DVD. As the title suggests, this is a collection of Seventies singles tracks from the space rock giants. Some of the B sides have not been collected on Cd before, so this is an essentail buy for 'Wind collectors.
Long overdue on CD, finally reissued 2005. This was the Hawks' third album with the charismatic Robert Calvert on lead vocals, part of a run of four perfect releases if one is to count the Hawklords' "25 Years On" album from 1978. This was recorded in late 1977 inbetween the 'Quark' sessions and the temporarily dissolution of Hawkwind, but released after Calvert had quit in 1979- hence the sleeve inscription 'This Is The Last But One' which referred to the fact that whilst a new release, it wasn't their latest album. The songs- some recorded live in soundchecks, some on the mobile console- are stylistically between the snarling, sniding punk/new wave leanings they had begun to adopt ('Death Trap' 'Robot' 'Jack Of Shadows'), trippy balladry ('High Rise' which was quoting Ballard years before Suede were even out of short trousers, 'Infinity') and the older, throbbing space rock of yore (the title track and 'Uncle Sam's On Mars' ) but with a lean, spiky sound that could have only come from the late Seventies. After this came the return of Huw Lloyd Langton, 'Shot Down In The Night' and their NWOBHM-instigated widdly period, but somehow Hawkwind never sounded quite so sprightly or rock'n'roll again. Worth having.Includes bonus material from the Michael Moorcock "New Worlds Fair Album".
Chronicling the 1990 Space Bandits tour, this remastered and repackaged live release includes such favourites as "Time We Left," "Damnation Alley" and "Void Of Golden Light." A fine entry to the last decade of the 20th Century.

Live show from the Empire Pool, Wembley back in 1976. It's the classic line-up and includes a slew of major tunes, including "Urban Guerilla," "Masters Of The Universe," "Sonic Attack" and "Silver Machine." We think this was a heck of a show - some of us were there!

Great 2 on 1 for these missing Hawkwind titles on CD- The first of the two from 1976 contains the amazing "Reefer Madness" and the 10 minute "Steppenwolf" which has great dreamy spoken parts from the Herman Hesse canon. The second of the two is the 1977 release- thought by many to be the band's finest hour- which contains the stage favourites "Spirit Of the Age" and "Hassan I Sabha" alongside the title track and the autobiographical "Days of the Underground".Great Calvert-era Hawkwind albums, leaner, snappier and punkier than their Turner/Lemmy-era predecessors (although Turner is still very much a presence on the former), they fitted into the era (in which the fallout of the hippie dream descended into Quatermass-style paranoia) perfectly. "Stole my stash!! Stole my stash!!" etc.

A slightly cut-above Hawkwind compilation here, high quality concert recordings spread over two discs- the first containing material taken from the Watchfield Festival 1975 and the infamous 'Atomhenge' tour 1976 (Bristol), and the second from Stonehenge (where else) and Queens Hall, Barnstaple in 1977. In other words, the CALVERT era!!! The band's finest period and most creative run (don't forget, Nik Turner appears on the first disc too), and one they still haven't bettered.Jewel case packaging.

Live three DVD set bringing together Chronicle Of The Black Sword (1985), Night Of The Hawks (1984) and Love In Space (1995). The first disc chronicles their association with SF novelist Michael Moorcock who influenced the writing process of the COTBS album. A truly loony performance recorded at the Hammersmith Odean with psychedelic images, over the top stage antics and the novelist appearing on stage for the encore. The second of disc was recorded at the Gaumont Theatre in Ipswich and (with the assisstance of a laser show and wild editing) is of a similar audio visual assault. Disc three contains highlights from the bands Alien 4 tour. Every DVD features a completely different set list. One for the more hardcore Wind fans out there, this is a superb priced collection.
