Region 0, PAL. What can you say about Horslips? Well you can say this. They came among us, when our need was greatest, with their thigh length boots, electric fiddles, smoke machines andcoloured lights and, most importantly, their thumping, electrifying Celtic Rock, and they gave us a glimpse at an Ireland that didn't actually exist yet. The Ireland they came from looked a good deal more exciting and colorful than the one its population lived in, and a lot more like the Ireland everyone really wanted. They weren't actually around for that long, just about a decade give or take, but they were a busy bunch of mustachioed men. For the 10 years that was the 70s, Horslips ploughed their very unique musical furrow from their home base in Ireland into mainland Europe and on into America. In an eight year period from 1972 to their last show in 1980, when Charles O' Connor's fiddle spun hypnotically through the spotlights in the Kings Hall, they had produced a staggering 12 albums and performed live over 2000 times. This is a film about that journey. In March of 2004 Horslips, perhaps the seminal Irish rock band, left Dublin by bus, travelled north & took to the stage in the Orchard Gallery in Derry where they played together for the first time in 24 years. This is a film about that journey. PACKAGE: a Deluxe (2 x ) DVD box-set presentation with full-colour 24 page booklet.
