Smokie - Other Side Of The Road. CD. (Label: 7Ts, Cat.No: GLAMCD 41) Long overdue CD re-issue of Smokies 1979 studio album "The Other Side Of The Road", totally remastered. It was a hit in Germany where they had strong chart positioning throughout their career, while it's success remained sporadic everywhere else. Notably an album filled with strong melodies and some fine arrangements, it is marked by one of the most soulful vocal performances Chris Norman ever gave. The original thirteen track album has been expanded with four bonus numbers: "Cryin", "Did She Have To Go Away", "You're You" and "Maybe I Just Don't Know." Booklet contains original LP artwork, liner notes, lyrics and loads of pictures of rare European singles sleeves.	Smokie - The Montreaux Album. CD. (Label: 7Ts, Cat.No: GLAMCD 40) Long overdue UK CD release for Smokie's fifth studio album. The original ten track long player has been remastered and expanded with bonus cuts: two tracks that vocalist Chris Norman recorded with Suzi Quatro (released as a single) "Stumblin' In" and "A Stanger With You." Booklet contains original LP artwork, detailed liner notes and loads of pictures of rare European picture sleeves.
Wild Willy Barrett - Judge & The Devil Anthology 1968-2005. Dble CD. (Label: Transatlantic, Cat.No: TRQDD406) Unique anthology of talented multi-instrumentalist’s long, eccentric, erratic recording career. Very much a collector’s set, including odd singles, rare demos, live recordings, outtakes and plenty of previously unreleased material.	Smokie - Bright Lights & Back Alleys. CD. (Label: 7Ts, Cat.No: GLAMCD 39) Smoie's fourth album, released in 1977, finds the group expanding their sonic horizons to incorporate psychedelic Beatle influences, hard rock and even the odd reggae touch. The original ten track release now features three bonus tracks: "Now You Think You Know", "Lay Back In The Arms Of Someone" and "Here Lies a Man." Totally re-mastered, this now comes complete with original LP artwork, lyrics, detailed liner notes and loads of rare European only picture sleeves.
Rumour - Frogs, Sprouts, Clogs And Krauts / Purity Of Essence - Stiff. Dble CD. (Label: Stiff, Cat.No: CDSEEZ13) Remastered collection including everything the band ever released for Stiff. Their debut captures the group embracing the New Wave sounds at the end of the '70s, incorporating the atmopheric keyboards into their Pub Rock / Punk sound. The follow up is a noted return to the harder rocking side, released in 1980. Twenty four tracks in total.	Smokie - Changing All The Time. CD. (Label: 7Ts, Cat.No: GLAMCD37) Smokies first ever charting album finally gets a UK CD release. Here they have refined the rock-pop stylings that were evident in an early form on their debut release of the same year and taken it to new heights. An early peak of their career. Original eleven track album remastered and expanded with two rare non LP B-sides as bonus tracks: "Tis Me" and "Talking Her Round." Booklet contains original album artwork, lyrics to all the songs, superb liner notes and pictures of many rare European only Picture sleeves.
Smokie - Pass It Around. CD. (Label: 7Ts, Cat.No: GLAMCD36) First ever UK CD release for the debut album by 70's legends Smokie, totally remastered. At this point, they were a pet project for legendary English pop producers Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, this is a fascinating first step to stardom for the four piece. Original thirteen track album released in '75 expanded with one bonus cut: "Couldn't Live." Booklet contains original LP artwork, lyrics to all the songs, detailed liner notes plus pictures of European singles sleeves.	Smokie - Living Next Door To Alice: The Best Of. Dble CD. (Label: Music Club, Cat.No: MCDLX049) A comprehensive two CD introduction to this highly successful pop rock outfit who scored no less than eleven UK top twenty hits during the second half of the 70’s. This thirty six track collection features the best singles, album tracks and live cuts that highlight their American influenced soft pop classics which saw them become virtual residents on Top Of The Pops as the 70's ended.
Fool's Gold - Various. CD. (Label: Chiswick, Cat.No: CDHP 028) This legendary original Chiswick album from 1977, now receives the luscious hip pocket treatment it deserves.Never before released on CD, this classic compilation is the perfect showcase for those halcyon days of the mid-to-late 70s. Crank up the volume and enjoy the sounds of The 101'ers, Little Bob Story, The Gorillas, Radio Stars and Rocky Sharp & The Razors.	Legend (Mickey Jupp) - Legend. CD. (Label: Repertoire Records, Cat.No: REP 5066) Championed by John Peel, these beloved pub rockers were formed by the talented Mickey Jupp in the late '60's. They recorded this album for Bell records in one eight hour session, amongst the tracks are "Natural Gas", "Doncaster By Pass" and "Twenty Carat Rocker". The group featured here broke up after just one gig so this is now a souvenier and a bit of a collectors item. Twelve track album with two bonus songs: "Georgia George" and "July." Remastered and presented in a Digi pack with original LP artwork. Not to be confused with The Red Boot album.
Goodbye Nashville, Hello Camden Town: Pub Rock Anthology - Various. Dble CD. (Label: Castle, Cat.No: CMEDD1451) The first comprehensive, in-depth Pub Rock compilation. The scene was at it’s peak between 1971-76, when all but a couple of these sides were recorded. As you would hope of, all of the scene's biggest names are here for the ride:Stray,Chilli Willi,Brunning Sunflower Band,Jo Ann Kelly,Mick Farren, Kilburn & the High Roads, Eggs over Easy, Dr Feelgood, The Kursaal Flyers, Mickey Jupp, Brinsley Schwarz, Bees make honey. The Pirates, Eddie & the Hot Rods, Chas & Dave, Meal Ticket, Nine below zero and many more. Forty eight tracks in total and a fully detailed insert.	Wreckless Eric - Almost A Jubilee. CD. (Label: Hux Records, Cat.No: HUX039) Wreckless Eric recorded his first Peel session in 1977, when his band included Ian Dury on drums and Davey Payne on sax. 25 years later, Eric made a solo, acoustic appearance live on the Jonathan Ross show on Radio 2. This album features both of these performances, plus the best of Eric's BBC sessions recorded in between. That includes a second appearance on the Peel show, plus sessions recorded for the Saturday Live programme, Mark Radcliffe & Andy Kershaw's Radio 3 show. Eric appears here under a variety of guises, and the 'Len Bright Combo' tracks may be of particular interest to collectors. Records by this band are highly sought after and, as Eric says in his liner notes, this session was recorded while they were at their peak. This album was compiled by Eric himself, from the dozen or so available BBC sessions. He also wrote the extensive liner notes and contributed all the photographs for the booklet.
Wreckless Eric - Big Smash. Dble CD. (Label: Stiff, Cat.No: CDSEEZ21) Big Smash’ is a double CD compilation of the first two Stiff albums and a single album compilation released by Epic in the US. Effectively a label ‘Best Of’, this is the first ever release on CD, including the incredibly rare ‘A Little Bit More’ (recorded for the original album sessions) and two live Australian b-sides. All tracks have been digitally remastered and, as ever, Eric has provided a fairly off the wall commentary in his new sleeve notes.Housed in an attractive slipcase.	Tyla Gang - Moonproof. CD. (Label: Mystic, Cat.No: MYSCD) Second album released by the Tyla Gang featuring the bands great single "Suicide Jockey". The material on this album shows a transition from the boogie rock of the "Yachtless" album and the more commercial Sean Tyla solo albums. The release comes with two bonus tracks "Eve Of Destruction" and "Hearts & Nights Lovers In Trouble".
