1973 live double capturing the Isleys at their peak (3+3 was released the same year). Isley Brothers - Showdown / Grand Slam. CD. (B.G.O. Records - BGOCD742)

1979 and 1981 albums by the brothers, originally released on CBS. Digitally remastered and slip cased, both albums were a hit in America, Showdown reaching number four in the charts. Various incarnations of the Brothers released and toured from the '50's all the way to the '90's; at this point in their lengthy career the group were still firing on all cylinders when in the studio. Fresh from their success with the 3 + 3 album, the same line up released these two storming long players. Fifteen tracks in total.

Two mid '70's albums by the group on one CD for the first time, digitally remastered and slipcased. 13 tracks. The Heat Is On in particular is a classic Isley album, recorded with the classic 3 +3 lineup. Ronald Isley on lead vocals is wonderful from start to finish, either caressing the mic or punching his way through it depending on the track. Live It Up is a fantastic party album with elongated funk jams as well as slower ballads. Essential Isley Brothers.

Isley Brothers - Inside You / The Real Deal. CD. (B.G.O. Records - BGOCD754)

First time on CD for these two early 80’s albums from the brothers Isley. Digitally remastered and slipcased. Although largely made up of high class ballads, there are a few top draw uptempo electrofunk numbers. Fourteen tracks in all, including the R’n’B hits "Real Deal", "It’s Alright With Me" and "Inside You."
