Jack Endino - Permanent Fatal Error. CD. (Cargo - WT003) 2005-released slice of sledgehammer guitar rock from Seattle’s legendary musician / producer Jack Endino, in which he emerges from a long silence to show the pretenders (not Chrissie Hynde and Martin Chambers) how it should be done. Some songs stray into old-school metal-punk territory but most remain firmly in the ALTERNATIVE Rock camp with very loud guitars. If you like the Seattle sound (no, not the Frasier Crane radio show), this stands with the best of them for good reason: Jack himself helped make most of them producing Nirvana’s "Bleach" and recent records by The Makers, Hot Hot Heat, Zeke and Black Halos as well as playing in his many bands such as Accused, Coffin Break, Skin Yard and Tuatara. Drums are handled by Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, REM).
