John Kay & The Sparrow - Collectors Item. LP. (Columbia - 9758) Vinyl issue from John Kay of Steppenwolf's first band which also featured the guitarist Mars Bonfire. Recorded in 1966-67 this is a fantastic slab West Coast influenced garage blues rock with some psych moments. The band made a home on the West Coast of the US and this album is part of the West Coast rock jigsaw. Great!
