Johnny, alongside his brother Edgar made a powerful duo and created a real storm on the live circuit and on LP releases throughout the '60's and '70's; the man deserves his place in the pantheon of truly great guitarists. The first album has Winter fronting the Muddy Waters band on this Chicago blues workout. With Waters on vocals and Johnny on sparkling form, rarely has he sounded happier. His follow up album is a of a similar bluesy feels, with covers of classics by Jimmy Rogers, Sleepy John Estes and Little Walter. Certainly one for the fans his more bluesy side.
