June Christy - Cool School / Do Re Mi. CD. (Emi Gold - 3510172) Two albums on one CD, bringing together a collection of children's music and the rarely heard Broadway musical Do-Me-Ri. Without the lightweight arrangements a long term fan might expect on a Christy album of this period, this approach focuses the attention solely on the heartfelt lyrics and her crisp vocal performance. On Cool School, the subject matter could have easily led to a painfully glib, patronising effort rather the celebratory, emotional album she ended up with. A real success.

June Christy - June's Got Rhythm. CD. (Blue Note - 4775492) Normally backed by an orchestra, this blusy effort finds her backed by a small band that really alters the atmosphere of the recording. This intimate environment suits her ecellent swing like vocals and creates one of her best albums. Eleven track album exanded with four bonus numbers from the same sessions. Includes: "Blue Moon", "The Gypsy In My Soul", "My One And Only Love" and " Looking For A Boy."
