Larry Coryell/Badi Assad/John Abercrombie (Three Guitars) - New Morning- The Paris Concert. DVD. (Inakustik - INAK6454DVD) Three of the most inventive guitarists in post-bop, post-free, post-fusion contemporary jazz (not to mention music) captured live at their zenith at the New Morning Festival, Paris, 2004. Coryell and Abercrombie are not ofte known for their use of the acoustic instrument: for the purposes of this bold exercise, many Latin tunes and a cover of "Ralph's Piano Waltz" by top acoustic jazzer Ralph Towner prove ideal tools.
