The original "Rumble" and it's B-side were added to 13 mid-60s sides from Swan Records for another album of warped-out rock 'n' roll instrumentals. Tracks:- Good Rockin' Tonight - Deuces Wild - Mustang - Heartbreak Hotel - Law Of The Jungle - Blueberry Hill - Link Wray And His Ray Men - The Swag; Rumble - Run Boy Run - Honky Tonk - The Sweeper - Hound Dog - That'll Be The Day - Zip Code - Scatter.
First ever DVD of the man who all but invented rock and roll as we know it, whose first records predate Bill Haley and Elvis's first recordings, and whose seminal track 'Rumble' just might be the most important instrumental ever recorded. Laying the foundations for everything from garage punk to heavy metal, the tune was recorded in 1958 but written some time earlier, and sparked such controversy for its 'musical simulation of violence' that it was banned from several stations despite reaching the Billboard Top 10. His next cut 'Jack The Ripper' had almost the same effect, and for the ensuing 40 years his mixture of originals and covers represnted the pure, unbridled hillbilly spirit of original rock'n'roll. Several of his classics, including the aforementioned tunes, are included here on this DVD, as well as interpretations of everything from 'King Creole' and 'Born To Be Wild' in his own inimitable style, and extensive documentary footage of the man himself talking candidly about his life, loves and hates. Region O PAL disc.
"Gene Vincent and Link Wray are the two great unknowns of Rock'n'roll" - John Lennon. But at last he has the recognition of being one of the most influential guitarists ever. Here is a live 1997 album of rock n roll blues.
Three classic albums from the early 70's by man some say invented rock and roll, all recorded in the early 70s long after his first 'heyday' but no less vtal than his pioneering early '50s works. The first, self titled album (and indeed all three albums included here) was recorded (as the title of this box set suggests) in a shack in the middle of a Maryland wood on primitive three track equipment., and released on Polydor: 'Beans and Fatback' was recorded for Richard Branson's then new Virgin label, as was the third album, credited to the some would say apocryphal 'Mordicai Jones' who is allgedly the lead vocalist on the same set. The three full albums are released here on two CDs.

Twenty five of the best instrumental tracks the great guitar man could muster. This really isn't for the faint hearted, these cuts of extreme distortion are the highlights of five decades worth of playing that single-handedly made the guitar the ultimately cool instrument of choice for generations. All remastered, this collection includes "Apache", "Moped Baby", "Deuces Wild" and "Walking With Link."
Link only made two studio albums in the 80's, this is a collection of the strongest material from these releases (Apache and The Wild Side Of The City Streets). All twenty of the tracks, recorded at London's Pathway studio on 8-track analogue equpment have been remixed by Rob Keyloch, beefing up the sound and bringing out the power of his guitar playing.
