Artist Listing : Los Yorks (6 products)

Los Yorks - 1968. LP. (LPN - 2321)

Reissue of the second album by this Peruvian garage-psych quartet. Originally released on the Mag record label in 68, it includes the single "Abrazame Baby" plus nine more cuts. Probably the best Peruvian 60s garage psych band, the cover to this album looks like a cross between The Other Half's album and Love's "Forever Changes"!

Los Yorks - '67. CD. (World Psychedelia - WPC6-8470)

The first album by the garage psych quartet who along with Los Saicos and Los Shains are one of the best and most important bands to come from Peru in the mid-sixties (their albums are now very rare) First issued on Mag in 1967 and featuring a non-stop beat influenced go-go twang guitar garage psych tone throughout. At times the sound is reminiscent of The Monks, with frantic rhythms and wild vocals. A great album.

Los Yorks - Ritmo Y Sentimiento. LP. (Maravilloso Records - RYS 110)

Reissue of the rarest and most sought-after LP by this peruvian garage band from 1969. "RITMO Y SENTIMIENTO" perfectly combines the spirit of the mid-sixties with the psychedelic guitar sound of the year it was released. Burning versions of "Suzy Q", "Inside Looking Out", "Foxy Lady" and "Mister You´re A Better Man Than I" with searing leads and the bands´s own edgy hysteria, make this album a great mix of garage and more psychier sounds. Doubtlessly the group´s most exciting effort Comes with faithful colour reproduction of the original front cover, along with a reworked backcover - and excellent sound!-500 copies worldwide only.
