M.F.S.B.(Mother, Father, Sister, Brother) - The Gamble-Huff Orchestra/Mysteries Of The World. CD. (Demon Westside/Edsel - DIAB419)

MFSB, for those unaware, were the house band at Sigma Studios, who played on virtually EVERY record ever released on the Philadelphia International label and thus everything Gamble and Huff ever wrote. Inevitably, they made their own albums for the label- here are the first two, from 1978 and 1980 respectively, which feature conrributions from the G&H men themselves. Tracks on this 2fer include reworkings of Rose Royce's 'Wishing On A Star' and The O Jays' 'Use Ta Be My Girl', as well as their own 'Mysteries Of The World' (a hit in the UK) and several other originals. A lushly packaged treat for those who want to hear some real musicians at work!
